NEMO publications

Thanks to a lot of hard work, late nights and many many emails we are delighted to list the following NEMO publications for the last reporting period. A small reminder that the correct acknowledgement for the NEMO funding is " The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement n°241479" and should be included in any NEMO publication

The Project Governing Board meeting at the abbey of the Fondation Royaumont in Asnières-sur-Oise, France took place on the 23rd and 24th of September 2013 and was attended by 29 participants. Among the issues addressed was the fact that NEMO is considered by the EU to be a success story. An article on NEMO written by Nigel Griffiths, a journalist working for the EU has been published on the website of DG Research and Innovation under “Success stories”. This is a very positive development and will hopefully impact on the ability of the consortium to obtain funding in the future. The consortium is currently looking at possible proposal topics within Horizon 2020. The first meeting day ended with a guided tour of the abbey and a working dinner.
The next Project Coordination Committee meeting is scheduled for the 24th of April at Amsterdam Airport. This meeting will concentrate on the changes in the Description of Work and the preparation of the Periodic Report for the period between (01.10.2012 - 31.03.2014) that needs to be submitted end of May 2014.
The next Project Governing Board meeting is planned for September 29th and 30th at Foundation Royaumont in France. The final project meeting will take place in London, in spring 2015. The final report will include the period between (01.04.2014 - 31.03.2015) end date pending on the approval of the last amendment by the EC. The main focus of the project this year is to complete the scientific tasks foreseen and to disseminate the findings through different channels throughout the scientific community

Dear NEMO Collaborators,

Welcome to the fifth edition of the NEMO newsletter. So much has been happening quietly behind the scenes since the last edition. We bid farewell to O4CP, who exited the consortium last November, and also completed the Trial Master File and Investigator Site Files thus marking the final step in whipping into shape the NEMO-1 documentation. We would like to thank all the PIs, investigators and study team for the hard work involved. Can we ask to join with us in welcoming to the NEMO project UPharma as our new pharmaceutical partner. The amendment of the NEMO project Technical Annex was been submitted to the EU for consideration and comment and we hope that UPharma's position in NEMO will be official shortly.

Best Wishes
Geraldine and Ronit
